If you’re interested in learning more about the new REAL ID laws in the state, a Wednesday night seminar will highlight some information.
State Representative Marci Mustello will be hosting the informational session at the Butler Township Building on South Duffy Road tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m.
“We’ll have representatives there from PennDOT to explain what’s needed to get one, why we need one, the resources we have to get one, and the purpose for it,” Mustello said.
The new law begins October 1st—and it is quite complex as Mustello explains.
“People that have passports or passport cards will not need a REAL ID,” Mustello said. “But you will need either of those, or a REAL ID, to get onto any domestic flights, to get onto any military bases, or any federal offices.”
The event is free but registration is requested by going online or calling Mustello’s office.
