State Representative Daryl Metcalfe is moving on to the general election after defeating his Republican challenger.
The 12th House District saw a contested primary for the GOP nomination, as former Air Force member Scott Timko was looking to unseat Metcalfe.
However, Metcalfe took home nearly 70 percent of the vote—ensuring a rematch against Democrat Daniel Smith Jr. this fall.
