As Butler County continues to decide what to do with federal COVID relief money, a local lawmaker in Washington is hoping to give officials more flexibility.
Congressman Mike Kelly is co-sponsoring a bill that would give local and state governments more options for how to spend the money.
Kelly specifically mentions that the money could be used on infrastructure projects, which is currently most funds cannot be used for.
The bill does have bi-partisan support, with more than 140 co-sponsors.
