Congressman Mike Kelly is targeting federal funding for five different projects in Butler County.
As part of the Community Project Funding dollars in the federal budget, Congressmen can make requests for certain projects.
Kelly confirmed five projects that he hopes to secure funding.
- Summit Township Sewer Project: construction of a new treatment facility and service.
- Route 19 Waterline Project: Replace waterlines on Route 19 in Cranberry Twp.
- Route 228 East: Realigning, construction and rehab Route 228 in Clinton and Buffalo Townships.
- Chicora Drinking Water Plant: Upgrade and repair the outdated drinking water plant.
- Harmony Fire District: replace apparatus that is 22 years old.
The projects are a combined ask of over $17 million.
