A local lawmaker has been named to a prominent position on a national legislative subcommittee.
U.S. Representative Mike Kelly, of Butler, will serve as the lead Republican on the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Select Revenue Measures.
This subcommittee focuses on tax policy and revenue generated by the federal government.
Kelly has served on the Ways and Means Committee since 2013 and will continue on the Health subcommittee. Kelly previously served as the ranking member on the Oversight subcommittee.
