President Donald Trump has been invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new VA health care center in Butler County.
U.S. Representative Mike Kelly of Butler sent letters to President Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin asking them to attend the August event.
As of Thursday, Rep. Kelly’s office said they had not yet heard back from any of them.
The new VA Butler Healthcare center on North Duffy Road in Center Township will be the second VA facility in the county once it opens. The VA’s original facility on New Castle Road in Butler Township will remain open.
