A local lawmaker is hosting a couple of veterans’ affairs specialists on Wednesday.
State Rep. Jaret Gibbons, a Democrat representing parts of Beaver, Butler, and Lawrence Counties, is hosting the specialists from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at his office in Elwood City.
The first specialist will be able to assist veterans with any questions involving benefits including understanding the benefits they have earned, filing appeals on existing claims, and enrolling in the VA health care system. The other specialist can help with job and training opportunities for veterans, particularly those with service connected disabilities.
No appointment is necessary.
