The American Cancer Society will hold its annual ‘Relay For Life’ in Butler this weekend.
Participants will begin walking at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Butler Farm Show Grounds on Route 68 (Evans City Road) and continue for 24 hours.
Organizer Shelly Manning says the organization has already reached its $50,000 fundraising goal and is hoping to receive more donations this weekend. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.
Manning’s involvement in ‘Relay For Life’ is extremely personal as her mom, Gloria Lamont, has battled the disease three times.
