The Butler County commissioners are continuing to pursue a rehabilitation project on the Butler County Courthouse and Government Center.
At a meeting Wednesday, officials said they are currently reviewing two companies that have submitted proposals to do the engineering work. They plan to have one company selected by next week. Actual construction work would likely not start until next year.
Work will include replacing exterior panels on the Government Center, which sits behind the courthouse on West Diamond Street, as well as storm water management and HVAC work on the courthouse.
The project is expected to cost around $3.5 million.
