The Cincinnati Reds defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-2 last night at PNC Park. Pirate starter Trevor Williams allowed two runs on six hits over 5-1/3rd innings and left with the game tied at 2-2. Newcomer Joaquin Benoit allowed the game-winning home run in the seventh inning. Felipe Rivero allowed two runs in the ninth. The Pirates managed only five hits in the game, two by Andrew McCutchen. The two teams complete their three-game series tonight at 7:05pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am will be 6:40pm. The Bucs are now 1-8 versus the Reds this season.
