The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Butler has accepted the resignation of their executive director.
Following an executive session during Monday night’s meeting, the board voted to allow Art Cordwell to step down from the position he has held for four years. However, Cordwell will return in the role of a consultant on an as-needed basis.
The authority is also beginning the search for a new executive director. The job description, qualifications necessary, and salary to be offered are still being finalized.
Cordwell is still owed an undetermined amount of salary by the authority which the board plans to repay once revenue increases.
