The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Butler is considering entering into agreements of cooperation with other organizations in town with similar goals.
At their meeting Thursday afternoon, the authority agreed to meet in two weeks with members of the Butler Downtown group to discuss pooling resources to hire one person to lead both organizations.
Butler Downtown has been without a manager since they lost much of their grant funding last year. Art Cordwell resigned as Executive Director of the Redevelopment Authority last month.
The authority named Veronica Walker interim executive director in order to allow her to operate on behalf of the authority on a day to day basis. The Redevelopment Authority does not have the ability to pay Walker at this time.
