Last year was a record setting year for organ donations, and a new report shows that Western Pennsylvania played a major role.
The Center for Organ Recovery and Education, also known as CORE, said that there were 325 organ donors in the area this year that were responsible for nearly 700 life-saving organ transplants.
They also add that 10 of those donors were over the age of 75.
This is the third straight year that organ donations have increased.
