We are expected to experience the remnants of tropical depression Gordon this weekend.
“Gordon will interact with a stalled front across the region. Showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rain, may lead to the potential for both flash flooding and river flooding through the start of the week,” according to a Hazardous Weather Outlook posted by the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh.
There is only a 30 percent chance we could see showers and storms on Friday. A high of 80 is expected.
On Saturday, the rain chance remains at 30 percent during the day, but jumps to 60 percent on Saturday night. It will be cooler- with only a high of 69 expected.
On Sunday is when we could really begin to feel the effects of Gordon- the NWS is forecasting a 90 percent chance of rain, with one to two inches possible. A high of only 64 is forecasted.
