Sunday marks a busy day in auto racing, as both the IndyCar Series and Monster Energy Series will take to the track.
The IndyCar Series kicks off the doubleheader with the annual running of the Indianapolis 500 at the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Ed Carpenter will start on the pole. Sunday’s race will also mark the final professional race of Danica Patrick’s career. She had the seventh fastest qualifying time.
The NASCAR Monster Energy Series will follow on Sunday with the running of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Kyle Busch will start on the pole.
Coverage of the Indianapolis 500 will begin immediately following the Noon News on WBUT 1050AM, and the green flag will drop just after 12:20pm. Prerace coverage of the Coca-Cola 600 will begin at 5pm on WBUT 1050AM, and the green flag will drop just after 6pm.
