Charlotte Motor Speedway will come alive today with three NASCAR practice sessions and Sprint Cup Series qualifying as preparations continue for the weekend’s doubleheader. On-track action will open with Cup Series practice at 1:30 pm. X-FINITY Series teams get a pair of practice sessions at 3 and 5:30 p.m. Sprint Cup Series qualifying for Saturday’s race begins at 7:20 pm. Kevin Harvick is the defending race champion. Voting for the Most Popular Driver awards in NASCAR’s X-FINITY and Camping World Truck Series, along with NASCAR’s seven touring series, began earlier this week. Chase Elliott looks to defend his title as Most Popular Driver in the X-FINITY Series while the Camping World Truck Series is guaranteed a new winner with 2014 recipient Ryan Blaney no longer competing regularly. Fans can vote online once per day at NASCAR-dot-com/most-popular-driver. Voting runs through Friday, November 20th, for the Truck Series and Saturday, November 21st, for the X-FINITY Series and the seven NASCAR touring series including the K&N Pro Series East and West – two of the sport’s top developmental tours. Winners will be announced at the X-FINITY and Camping World Truck Series Awards on November 23rd in Hollywood, Florida.
