The City of Butler Parks, Recreation Grounds, and Facilities Authority is preparing for a new season of the Butler BlueSox and is looking for help with games at Michelle Krill Field at Historic Pullman Park.
The Authority owns the BlueSox who will play 15 home games as well as 12 away in the Tri-State League which has four new teams this season to bring the total to 10. CORE Athletics will also continue to operate the Iron Bucs team in Butler.
The BlueSox home season kicks off June 3rd with a NexTier Bank appreciation fireworks night and will conclude July 14th. The authority is considering other promotions including Senior Discount Sundays, Thirsty Thursdays, and Weiner Wednesdays. Tickets are $5 for general admission and $6 for box seats with season ticket pricing available.
The Authority is looking for local pep bands willing to volunteer to play at games. Additionally, student interns will be interviewed and utilized to help out with BlueSox games this summer.
