The project to turn the former Pullman building into senior living apartments has failed to receive necessary grants from the state.
“Unfortunately the list of credits came out and we did not receive an award as requested from the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency. It’s a highly competitive process with about one in every four applications being awarded.”
Joseph McCabe is Vice President of the Woda Group based in Ohio which applied for the credits. The company is very disappointed that the state did not give approval to what they believed to be a great structure and project.
However the company has not given up on that project or the Butler area as they see a need for this type of facility.
“The Woda Group really likes the greater-Butler regional area. We hope to either have an opportunity to either work on getting this project funded again in the next year or find another site that would allow us another project because the need is still very apparent in the Butler community and the need still exists for senior housing.”
The Woda Group is currently putting the finishing touches on the Thompson Greene Development in Butler Township.
