The Prospect League has announced the hiring of Dennis Bastien as their new commissioner. Bastien is a former owner/president/general manager of two minor league teams who were affiliates of the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds. He was once named the “Executive of the Year” for minor league baseball by the Baseball Sporting News. He signed a three-year deal with the league and replaces Bryan Wickline, the current owner of the Chillicothe Paints. The Butler BlueSox compete in the Prospect League.
