The deadline for Pennsylvanians to apply for rent and property tax rebates has been extended.
The deadline for these rebates is now December 31st. In order to qualify, individuals must be at least 65 years old, or at least 18 if they have a disability. Applicants also must have less than $35,000 of income if they are homeowners, and renters must have income less than $15,000.
Individuals who apply must also provide proof of their 2016 rent or property taxes. Applications are also processed within four to six weeks. There are no fees to apply.
