The woman who has accused the Butler County President Judge of sexual misconduct has amended her complaint again.
Crystal Starnes, a Butler County probation officer, has refined her legal argument and removed one county defendant from her case. Chief Butler County Probation Officer Doug Ritson was named in the original suit but not in the amended complaint. It’s unclear why.
The amended complaint was filed Tuesday.
The amended suit continues to allege that Starnes and Judge Thomas Doerr began a sexual relationship in 2004 and then Doerr used his influence to get her hired. When she ended the relationship after four years, the suit claims Starnes was subjected to workplace discrimination from Doerr and several other people working in the county court system.
