Several private schools are receiving funding from the state to help with security improvements.
Over $1 million in funds were allotted to schools in Butler County through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency. Public school districts received a majority of that funding, however several private institutions also received funding as well:
- Butler Catholic School – $60,000.
- Saint Wendelin School – $75,000.
- Penn Christian Academy – $10,364.
- North Catholic High School – $75,000.
