The timeframe for political candidates to circulate petitions has been put on hold by the state Supreme Court.
The order applies to both state and federal races.
The three week petition period was set to kick off on Tuesday and last for three weeks.
However, the highest statewide court will hear arguments on next Friday on Congressional redistricting, so they decided to put a hold on the petition process.
