Tonight, also known as Thanksgiving Eve, is traditionally a packed night at the bars and has become known as one of the most popular, if not THE most popular, drinking nights of the year.
That’s prompted the Pennsylvania Medical Society to urge drivers to stay sober.
According to PennDOT, there were 37 deaths and over 4,500 crashes during the Thanksgiving holiday last year. That was the worst of all the holidays in 2014.
The Butler County DUI Task Force says they will be out in full force conducting sobriety checkpoints and roving DUI patrols through Monday (Nov. 30).
