A Youngstown firefighter was shot Monday night after responding to a fire.
It began when crews were called about 10 p.m. to a house fire. As crews were leaving the scene about 11:30 p.m., shots were allegedly fired and bullets came through the fire truck, allegedly hitting a firefighter in the leg.
Fire officials told WKBN in Youngstown that they don’t think the shooting was random and that police are treating it as a targeted shooting.
