With warmer weather on the way and many proms and graduation parties taking place around the area, local State Police are warning about the dangers of underage drunk driving.
State Police at the Butler Barracks plan to aggressively enforce laws related to selling or furnishing alcohol to minors, purchase, consumption, possession, or transportation of alcohol by minors, and minors driving under the influence of alcohol.
In addition to enforcement on the road, troopers plan to reach their goal through prom promise presentations and staging mock crashes.
Through these actions, police hope to lessen the number of underage drinking arrests and crashes due to impairment.
