Police are warning parents about the dangers of unsafe internet behavior by children after a recent incident in Armstrong County.
According to State Police, a 16-year-old boy from Rural Valley engaged in text and voice messages with an unknown person claiming to be a woman the evening of Aug. 3.
The unknown person sent naked pictures to the boy and asked him to do the same. When he did, the person attempted to extort money from the boy by threatening to distribute the pictures online.
