State police are still trying to find a driver who fled the scene of a hit-and-run in East Butler.
The crash happened almost two weeks ago, in the early morning hours of Wednesday, Sept. 27, on East Butler Road, between Bonnie Drive and Mitchell Hill Road in Summit Township.
The incident severely injured 39-year-old Bryan McFadden of Butler. Police say McFadden was riding his bike when he was hit by the vehicle. A witness discovered McFadden about 7 a.m. lying in a ditch and called 911.
McFadden was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment of his injuries, including a fractured skull.
The driver immediately left the scene and made no attempt to render aid or call for help. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call state police in Butler at 724-284-8100.
