State police are searching for two people who left a dog outside in near-freezing temperatures at the Humane Society.
Police say it happened Tuesday around 6 p.m. when a smaller black pickup truck with a trailer stopped at the Butler County Humane Society on Evans City Road in Connoquenessing Township.
Video evidence shows two individuals getting out of the vehicle and removing a dog cage with a dog inside. The dog was left in front of the Humane Society overnight, when temperatures were close to freezing.
The dog was found by Humane Society employees the next morning and was quickly treated.
Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.
