Police are looking for a Pittsburgh man following an incident Monday morning involving a gun.
Shortly after 6 a.m. Monday morning, 72-year-old Nicholas Domek III arrived at Rosebrook assisted living community on South Pike Road. Buffalo Township Police Chief Tim Derringer continues:
“He was waiting for his ex-girlfriend as she approached the building. He came up from behind her, held a gun to her head, and demanded he leave with her. At that point a struggle ensued. She fought back, knocking him to the ground due to him having a prosthetic leg. She then ran into the facility and called 911 and he fled the scene.”
Domek then allegedly left in a red Chevy Cruise with PA registration 72907 license plate designated physically disabled.
The woman was not injured after fighting back but was able to make it into the facility where she worked to alert police of the situation.
“There are charges pending as a result of the incident for attempted kidnapping, simple assault, reckless endangering another person, stalking, and loitering and prowling at night. He was armed with an unknown type handgun in an unknown direction of travel.”
Police say no one should approach Domek who is considered “armed and dangerous”. Anyone who knows where he is should call 911.
