A Slippery Rock woman is recovering following an accident earlier this week in Mercer County.
According to State Police, 21-year-old Rebekah Schaelchin was driving on Brent Road in Liberty Township on Monday afternoon (5/2) when a dog ran out in front of her car.
Schaelchin swerved into the other lane to miss the dog then swerved back to avoid an oncoming vehicle. Schaelchin then lost control and hit a ditch. Her vehicle rolled over two times and ended up on the roof, partially still on the road.
Schaelchin was wearing a seatbelt and only sustained minor injuries. She was not cited for a driving violation.
