Police say a Center Township man is facing charges after he crashed his vehicle into a local restaurant earlier this year.
The accident happened during the early morning hours of January 16th at the Eat’n Park at the Clearview Mall.
State police say 56-year-old David Smith Jr. was driving his SUV in the southbound lane of Route 8 when he crossed into opposite lane and left the highway.
Smith then went over an embankment and barreled into the Eat’n Park. Police say Smith was driving with a suspended license.
He also appeared to be injured at the time, but refused to be treated.
The accident caused significant damage, but fortunately happened before the restaurant was open to the public. There were no injuries to any staff members.
