One person is dead after a home invasion in Butler County on Friday night.
Investigators say 74-year-old James Martin was found dead after he was shot several times by someone who broke into his home.
Martin lived on Tenth Street in East Butler. A friend found Martin’s body after he did not shot up for breakfast on Saturday morning.
Police believe he was shot by an intruder.
Authorities say Martin was a retired sheriff’s deputy from Ohio. Last month, someone burglarized his home and stole a number of weapons.
