A Harmony man was arrested for allegedly attempting to break into a Buffalo Township home.
Police say 21-year-old Ryan Stockman was drunk, barefoot and shirtless when he attempted to get into a home on North Pike Road about 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
According to police paperwork, the homeowners were sleeping in separate bedrooms when one of them witnessed a man attempting to force open a sliding glass door. The couple called police and when an officer arrived, he allegedly saw Stockman trying to open a window in the back of the house.
“Upon arrival, Buffalo Township Police Officer Daniel Ambrose witnessed a man with no shirt or shoes on attempting to open a window located on the rear deck of the house,” according to a police criminal complaint.
The officer said Stockman reeked of alcohol and did not have a shirt or shoes on.
He remains in the Butler County Prison.
