State police in Mercer are investigating a burglary that took place early in the morning on March 27, 2016.
According to the police report someone forcefully entered a rear window of Dawns Deli / General Store on route 19 and stole bags of aluminum cans, money from a cash register and mountain dew soda. A male suspect recklessly fled the scene in an unknown automobile from a nearby gas well when confronted by a neighbor. A bag of cans was left behind at the gas well.
The investigation is ongoing.
