Butler Township Police are investigating a failed attempt to break into an ATM.
Police say that around 4 a.m. on Saturday, an unknown person used hand tools to break through a wall of the Northwest Savings Bank on Pittsburgh Road near the Days Inn.
However, authorities say the suspect couldn’t break into the ATM due to the bank’s security features. The suspect then fled the scene empty handed.
Officials describe the suspect as a white male who was driving a compact four door sedan.
