State Police are investigating a lengthy theft that may have cost a local business several thousand dollars.
According to Butler State Police, a 21-year-old female employee is accused of altering receipts and taking cash from the Beer Garden on Oneida Valley Road (Route 38) in northern Butler County (Washington Township).
Authorities believe $16,000 in total was stolen over a two-year period beginning in February of 2014.
State Police say an investigation is ongoing.
