Authorities are investigating an incident that occurred late last week at a juvenile facility in neighboring Mercer County.
According to State Police, a staff member at George Junior Republic was allegedly assaulted and spit on by a student at the facility on Friday afternoon.
It is unclear why the assault occurred. The staff member’s condition was not immediately released.
