Police in neighboring Clarion County are investigating two separate incidents of cruelty to animals.
According to State Police, the first incident occurred in Brady Township between September 2018 and February 2019. During that time, a 10-year-old gelding horse suffered from malnourishment and frost bite, according to officials. Police say the horse is now in good hands and receiving proper medical care and treatment.
The second incident occurred sometime between Feb. 10-15 in Salem Township, Clarion County. During that time, a thoroughbred gelding- dark bay in color- was struck by what is believed to be a bullet. The value of the horse was $1,500.
