Icy roads are likely to blame for two crashes Sunday morning in Connoquenessing.
Both crashes happened on Whitestown Road within an hour of each other.
According to State Police, the first crash happened at 8:45 a.m. when a driver lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree head-on. 37-year-old Daniel Coleman of Zelienople had three people in his car, including two children, but no one was hurt.
And then about 9:30 a.m., a driver lost control on a bend and ended up crashing head-on into a tree. 42-year-old Sheila Grieb of Butler was driving. She and four passengers were all taken to Butler Memorial by ambulance, including three children. All injuries were described as minor.
State Police say Whitestown Road was untreated and icy.
