Police say a large crowd of college students was causing problems for first responders who were trying to treat an unconscious man.
State police say the incident happened Saturday evening around 5:30 p.m. at University Village, also known as the Ivy Apartments, in Slippery Rock.
EMS crews had been called to the scene for one man who was reportedly unconscious, possibly due to alcohol.
But when crews arrived, police say a large gathering of college students were in the center of the courtyard and not being cooperative with EMS—who were trying to perform life saving care.
Crews say they were concerned for their safety due to disorderly conduct in the crowd. Eventually state and campus police were able to get the crowd to disperse.
State police officially cited two men: 19-year-old Cameron Surano of Greenville and 20-year-old Richard Hunter of Freeport. Police also reported the incident to the university.
