Two people are in jail for allegedly transporting $11,000 worth of stolen merchandise on Interstate 80.
State Police pulled over a car Wednesday evening on Interstate 80 in Findley Township, Mercer County for traffic violations. During the traffic stop, troopers became suspicious of criminal activity.
A search of the vehicle yielded 11 Apple iPhones, 27 gift cards and other miscellaneous items…totaling about $11,000.
Both the driver and passenger (22-year-old Jenna Tomlin of Delaware & 23-year-old Stephan Carnegie of New York) were arrested and placed in the Mercer County Jail.
An investigation, including where the stolen merchandise came from, is still underway.
