Police believe a driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol when he crossed the center line and crashed into a vehicle head-on.
The crash happened Sunday afternoon in Butler Township- on Whitestown Road near Fairground Hill Road.
According to Butler Township Police, a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Ryan Furl of Butler crossed the double yellow line on Whitestown Road and crashed into a vehicle driven by 57-year-old Janet Wachter of Butler.
Wachter was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. Furl was arrested and is facing a laundry list of charges including: DUI, posession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
Whitestown Road was closed in both directions for about one hour.
