A New Kensington man faces multiple charges after he led police on a chase through parts of northern Allegheny County on Saturday.
The Kittanning State Police say that just before 6pm, 19-year-old Devan Chapman was traveling on Route 28 in O’Hara Township when a trooper witnessed Chapman commit unknown traffic violations.
Authorities say that Chapman would not stop for authorities who tried to conduct the traffic stop, and led them on a chase through parts of Harmar, Cheswick, and Springdale before he crashed into two telephone poles and the porch of a rental home in Springdale.
Authorities believe that Chapman’s car may have been stolen, but it is unclear at this time.
Chapman faces various charges, including felonies such as Fleeing and Eluding Police, and Receiving Stolen Property, among other lesser charges.
