A man is facing a number of charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman at a hotel near Cranberry.
Our news partners at WPXI report the incident happened at the Double Tree hotel on Route 19.
Police say a woman left her hotel room door propped open for her boyfriend that night. But, that’s when 31-year-old Cristofer Urrutia-Uribio of California entered the room and began to sexually assault the victim.
She woke up from a sleep screaming, which led Uribio to flee into his room. Hotel security was able to narrow down which room was him and he was arrested that night. He admitted to police he did not know the victim.
He’s facing charges of rape, burglary, and indecent exposure.
