A 9-year-old Kittanning boy is recovering after he shot himself with a BB gun over the weekend.
The incident happened Saturday afternoon. State Police say the boy was outside of his Armstrong County home by himself when his BB gun malfunctioned and he accidentally shot his left ring finger.
The BB became lodged in his finger.
The boy was treated at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.
No one else was injured.
