Preparations are well underway for this year’s Polar Bear Plunge in Parker.
Similar plunges will take place throughout the country- but in Butler County- brave souls will take a dip in the chilly Allegheny River in northern Butler County on New Year’s Day.
You can sign up for the event the day-of. Sign ups continue from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., and the plunge is scheduled for 1 p.m.
This will be the 13th year for the event, put on by the Parker Polar Bear Club. Proceeds from the plunge benefit local charities and organizations.
