A local business is moving forward with more outdoor events and activities following approval from the Butler Township Commissioners.
Earlier this week, Commissioners approved plans presented by the owners of Family Bowlaway for continuing to evolve the facility, especially between May and November when not as many customers are engaged in bowling.
This land development project would see the addition of restroom facilities as well as the use of temporary structures like large tents and cabanas for seasonal use. Outdoor games like volleyball, cornhole, and bocce would be available along with a food truck and fire pits.
Although this area could be in operation until 2 a.m. during some Fridays and Saturdays of the summer months, a township noise ordinance would be enforced at 11 p.m. daily.
