Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins was reportedly killed Saturday morning after being hit by a car in South Florida, according to our news partners at WPXI-TV.
The Steelers signed Haskins to a one-year restricted free agent contract in March after he signed with the team in 2021 but did not see any playing time.
Haskins was originally drafted by the Washington Commanders as the No. 15 overall pick in 2019. Before he was released by Washington in 2020, he completed 267 of 444 pass attempts for 2,804 with 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in two seasons, according to the Steelers.
Haskins played for Ohio State University and finished third in the Heisman Trophy race in 2018.
