WalletHub looked at more than 400 small to large cities using a variety of metrics and determined Pittsburgh was the fourth Best Large Sport City in the U.S., taking a backseat to only Boston, New York and Los Angeles.
Following behind Pittsburgh was Chicago, Philly and Detroit.
According to WalletHub, NHL fans in Pittsburgh are 27 percent friendlier and more engaged than their New York counterparts.
